Sleepy at random times and problems with my birthcontrol HELP!!?

me and my boyfriend had sunday when he noticed brown stuff on the condom which i thought was just old blood and i was going to start my period sure enough I started my period sunday it started out real light which is normal since it usually starts out real light then gets heavier as it goes on. BUT i started my birthcontrol for the first time ever that day also and when i took my pill it made me start cramping severly and i stopped bleeding late that afternoon and that morning but then it started back up again heavy that afternoon. since i have been on it for about 3 days now my period is more just like a regular period now. not such bad cramps etc.My schedule has been hectic I wake up go to school get off school at 3:40 go to work at 4 work till 9 go see my boyfriend for a little bit come home and sleep thats what my days have consisted of and now at random times i feel kinda sick i was sick for the last two years right about this time with mono one year and strep the other year. Im not pregnant am i??? i mean im on my period and my boyfriend uses a condom pulls out with the condom on and fills it up with water after to make sure there was no holes. it just worrys me that i get tired and feel kinda sick and tired at random times during the day and that my period stopped then started like that
