How to let my Mom get me a rabbit?

Well... my Mom's not really a pet person. We had a rabbit ages ago, but it kept trying to get out, probably because we bought it when it was old and it missed it's old owner. I've got a fish at the moment, but fish are boring, all the do is swim. I want a pet I can hold and stuff. If we did get one, I'd buy the rabbit and it's hutch with my birthday money and my savings. But my Mom keeps saying no. It's really unfair. Also, do you know where I could get a bunny in Birmingham, UK?
