Should I be more sympathetic to those in the Military?
I have a hard time being sympathetic to Military who try to get sympathy for their need to do a large second wedding after they chose to do a shotgun courthouse wedding (often times) for the purposes of gaining free medical benefits. I DON'T have a problem with anyone who wants a shotgun wedding for any reason. I also DON'T have a problem with anyone who does a renewal of vows ceremony for any reason. I ONLY have a problem with those who try to gain some level of sympathy by using the Military "card" as some kind of excuse why they now need to have a larger wedding. Go ahead and have 10 large weddings if you need, just don't pretend your man was FORCED to go to Iraq or forced into some courthouse deal. This doesn't mean I'm not appreciative of their volunteerism, it's just that I'm more appreciative of those volunteers like firefighters, nurses, police officers, who don't try to use their volunteer roles to gain sympathy. Should I be MORE sympathetic to Military VS others?
