Snorting pills while pregnant?

One of my friends is like 16 weeks pregnant and has been snorting pills. I don't know what the pills are, I know that they are a narcotics. Can this harm here baby? I know that doctors will prescribe Lorataps (not sure if I spelled that right) while a woman is pregnant. So if these are what she is snorting will the baby be alright?
