Is he moving too fast, being pushy? Help guys!?

Hi everyone, I have known my current boyfriend for 4 years, we have been good friends, we have been going out now for 4 months as bf and gf. He is very loving and caring and I am crazy about him. He stays over most nights as I live in a house on my own. Some nights I stay at his. The thing is we have just fallen into this pattern of behaviour. He has been throwing several hints to me that he would like to move in, he is not very subtle at all. He says things like, oh I hate going home or I may as well just bring my stuff over. His toothbrush has been on my sink for the last 3 weeks. I am comfortable with him staying over but I don’t want to rush our relationship by asking him to move in. To be honest I don’t want him to move in yet. I was in a long term relationship that ended at xmas 08 and entered into this relationship in Feb 09 so I am enjoying my own space to a certain degree. Today he mentioned to me that if he took my spare key he could call into my house today and do some cleaning for me as a favour. I told him there was no need. I don’t fancy handing my key out so hastily. But then he just took my spare key and looked into my face and said unless you don’t want to give it to me. I was a bit put out over this but just said okay take it. He said he might be bored at his own house so he might come over to mine before I come home from work. Okay what is the deal here and why is he being a bit subtly pushy?
